Jon McEntyre of Deep-Sea Headquarters out of Port Aransas is reminding all Texas birders that there will be a 14hr pelagic trip on MAY 3, 2026. This trip provides a rare opportunity to get out into the Gulf in the spring. Spring is a great time of the year for storm-petrels and the chance at some rare shearwaters.
This trip will have 2 leaders and myself. The trip still needs a few people to sign up to make the trip go. We will also have another 14hr pelagic trip on MAY 25, 2026.
