    This quarter’s update features a Slaty-backed Gull in Galveston, a rare 1884 Eskimo Curlew record in Wise County, and 106 new county ticks. Check the latest spreadsheet for “way out of range” sightings and the remaining species needed for single-county completion.

This spreadsheet lists species from eBird county checklists. Each species row includes a map link comparing eBird documentation to the “TOS Handbook of Texas Birds 2nd Edition” maps.

Birds in Red: Species “out of range” of the Handbook maps. Review species in Red were documented after the Handbook’s publication.

Brown Shading Empty cells with brown shading represent species not yet seen in the county that should be within range according to the Handbook.

The second tab, “Sp needed 4 Co’s”, lists species needed in four or fewer counties along with the specific counties remaining.
